Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job after leaving school was working in the real estate industry. She met Tarek Al Moussa, who was in the world of real estate. The couple had a great time up until 2008's market crash, when a lot of real estate developers and house flippers went bust. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa were nearly bankrupted by the crash in stocks in the year 2008. Their apartment was just $700 per week compared to the $6,000 they had been paying per month for their home. They slowly rebuilt their company and the entire economy. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted a buddy to help make an HGTV audition video in the year 2011. The tape showed Tarek and Christina teaming up to flip the inside of a home. Pie Town Productions, a production firm in New York City, got the tape. The company's executives were in love with Tarek & Christina. The deal was agreed by the couple and HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. Between 2013 until 2017, the show was a hit for 7 seasons. On the show, Christina and Tarek would acquire properties, which are typically homes with a moderate income in Orange County, and would then proceed to spend several weeks completing upgrades in order that they could flip the property to make profit. Tarek does the construction and remodelling while Christina concentrates on style as well as making sure all goes according to plan.
