Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world by the food she cooks. The food she serves evokes interest that was born from the moment she stepped beyond the outskirts of Long Island and into the multicultural scene that is Los Angeles. Cavatelli, carnitas, and other dishes can all coexist within a menu. It is an ever shifting taste. However, what is consistent throughout her menu is an unifying vision of the future that longingly remembers the old. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's interpretation of classic Italian is widely praised by critics as being one of the most compelling eateries for Italian cuisine within Los Angeles. Lofaso serves consistently delicious meals at Scopa which is a favorite of the neighborhood. The patrons call it authentic and satiating. Lofaso trained under legendary chefs and absorbed their sophisticate techniques but she was not afraid to make bold decisions in order to follow her intuition. After a brief period she rose to the top in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked with a variety of famous people as she transformed various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. Through Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find an appropriate home. Her creative independence could be enhanced by this collaborative effort. Black Market doesn't have one specific orientation. It's their goal. The first course could be dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Following that is a Korean wing and finally a meatball course. Antonia's vibrant flavors are the foundation of these bold flavors. Lofaso evaluated her career success based on her ability to both understand and be genuine to her audience. Apart from her memorable performance of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her individuality was also recognized out of the kitchen. She remains a standout on screen in her role as an CNBC judge, and as a recurring character on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso released The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Easy and Delicious recipes in 2012, with Penguin. It also told the story of her challenges during her time in the French Culinary Institute. She had a daughter, Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso claims that her enthusiasm in cooking is the primary factor behind her success. She stays on top of things through keeping a keen to the latest trends and fashions. She is revolutionizing her industry's aesthetic by redesigning chef wear to be functional and stylish, through her brand Chefletics. The main goal of Lofaso is staying committed to her goals. With this in mind, she launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This gives customers an extremely personal experience.
