Awkwafina An American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from the trumpet. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop studies began when she was a teenager. After concentrating on education, she earned an education in journalism at college and a women's studies major. She didn't start focusing on music until after she finished her studies. The track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a huge hit on the Internet and later appeared on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. The final track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. Her resume included both author and musician. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Alongside early TV shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
