Robyn Rihanna is also known as Rihanna in Barbados, is an Barbadian musician and singer who has given us popular songs such as Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. Young and extremely successful singer-songwriter she is already one of history's best selling performers. Her birthplace was in Barbados and had a childhood filled with reggae. After she learned to sing, she became professional. Because of the chaos that surrounded her family and the arguments that her parents had with each other, she began to pursue music. Soon she decided she would like to become a singer. In high school she formed a band of musicians. She also was able to meet music producer Evan Rodgers. He was impressed with her talent. He suggested that she relocate from her home in New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a performer, something she readily accepted. Her debut album quickly became a hit and was described as a music sensation. She was a favorite amongst young people due to her lively, foot-tapping music. It led to her pursuing directing. Being a gifted young lady Rihanna is regarded as a teenage idol. Rihanna is also active with charities and makes use of her celebrity status to benefit charities.
